If your vehicle is no longer drivable or taking up space, we understand why you might be looking to scrap it. However, Newport Recycling is no longer actively buying or accepting vehicles for recycling.

For car removal, scrap car collection, or cash-for-cars services, we recommend searching Google or checking local Cairns community pages and socials to find car removal specialists in the area—they’re far better suited to this type of service and can assist with pickup, quotes, and disposal.

We’re continuing to focus on our core metal recycling operations, and we appreciate your understanding as we phase out vehicle acceptance. If you need help with general scrap metal disposal or have questions about what we do currently take, feel free to contact us during business hours.

If you’ve exhausted all other options and still need to dispose of your vehicle, you’re welcome to drop it off to us. Please note: all fuel and fluids must be completely removed before the vehicle arrives, as we no longer offer depollution or car processing services.
